Surrey Police Training

All year Fiona has been working with Superintendent Clinton Blackburn of Surrey Police on a series of Domestic Abuse Awareness Training Sessions for the Senior Officers, CID, SIU , APT Police Officers and PCSO's.  She is working closely with Michelle Blunson, CEO of ESDAS to deliver this DASH Accreditation Training.

They have accredited nearly 900 officers. The difference this is making to the police response for survivors is already paying dividends.

She has also worked with a number of Local Authorities to bring local businesses in to the arena in the fight against Domestic Abuse by training their staff in all aspects of DA and helping them create Workplace Domestic Abuse Policies. This includes Newcastle City Council, Cambridge City Council, London Borough of Croydon and London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Did I Wake You Pet?

On 31st October 2017 publishers Austin Macauley launched Fiona's first book.

Did I Wake You Pet is an autobigraphical account of her experiences as a young woman, living in Scotland,  married to her first husband, an abusive and violent partner and how his coercive and controlling behaviour affected her ability to hold down a job as a Bank Cashier. When, ultimately, she ended up in hospital with horrific injuries, it was her employers who helped her escape.  This sometimes amusing, sometimes harrowing recollection will give an insight into the life of a victim of Domestic Abuse and may help people understand the chaotic and dangerous situations they have to endure.   You can purchase the book on
